It’s never too early to start learning! If you choose to participate in TALK, you will receive 8-10 text messages per month with fun, age-appropriate activities to do at home to prepare your little ones for eventual school success.
Sign up for the program by texting the word TALK to 75547 or by going to their website.
Registration is anonymous. The only personal information you’ll need to give is your phone number and child’s age.
The TALK program was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and HTPL is a registered partner organization.
As a member of the Suburban Library Coop (SLC), HTPL cardholder’s are eligible for discounts and perks from many area businesses. From discounts on live theater and sporting event tickets to local shopping, be sure to visit participating businesses to take advantage of this program!
If you are the parent or caregiver to an infant, toddler, or preschooler, we invite you to participate in the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge. The benefits of reading to young children are priceless, and include developing crucial oral language and print vocabulary, as well as strengthening bonds during those special lap sit times.
You may print a registration form and bring it to the library, or stop by the library to fill out a registration form and pick up a packet of materials.
