Libby with an eReader or eReader Tablet

eReaders devices that are only for reading books

  • Kindle readers recent models – Direct transfer is wireless through Libby app & any amazon account.
  • Kindle reader older model – may require transfer by computer or to kindle email account.
  • Nooks Readers – Transfer from computer or tablet to Nook using Adobe Digital Editions
  • Kobo Readers- Transfer from computer or tablet to Kobo using Adobe Digital Editions

E-Reader ‘Tablets’  Ereaders with tablet features

  • Nook Tablets –Use Libby App
  • Kindle Fire (tablet) – Use the web version of Libby or use the older Overdrive app.  (Some older models no longer support the Overdrive App, so use web version of Libby.)
  • Kobo Tablets – Use Overdrive app

 

Use Libby without an eReader

Most Tablets or Smart Phones use the Libby App. If not available then you can still use the website version of Libby

Computers use the Libby website.

Most Tablets or Smart Phones  Get the Hoopla app on most devices! Or use the Libby website.

Computers use the Libby Website.

Smart TVs Hoopla apps are available on some newer smart TVs, or you can share your computer screen with an HDMI cord.

  • NOOK for iOS supports EPUB (non DRM) and PDF.
  • NOOK for Web does not allow you to transfer or sideload eBooks into its platform.
